Sherry Lane Fletcher

Bristling with energy and enthusiasm, Sherry Fletcher walks the Camino Real as the first Europeans did 400 years ago, looking for beauty and adventure with every step. She tends rattlesnakes, collects rocking chairs and signed first editions, and maintains an interest in almost everything.
Sherry Lane Fletcher. Photo by Baxter Brown During business hours, Sherry serves as Alternative Education Coordinator for the Truth or Consequences Municipal School District. With twenty-nine years in education, she opened Las Cruces' first Montessori School in 1976, has written and administered grants and developed curriculum based on local history and ecology.
But her love is the outdoors, whether sailing, scuba diving, rock hunting, or tending pond wildlife. Sherry's camera finds the beauty of the desert, or the ancient aura left by those who came before. Her unique photos capture ruts of the Camino Real, windswept clouds or dewdrops on a cluster of grapes.
Her work has been featured in Enchantment Magazine and on SouthernNewMexico.com. She formerly sold photos through her private studio.
